At long last, Jamie xx is releasing his solo debut for Numbers. Rather than the sparse, downbeat ‘scapes sculpted as part of The xx or the Gil Scott Heron remix album, Far Nearer is in keeping with the Numbers aesthetic; laser-cut from various UK subgenres from the last 15 years and retrofitted to accommodate the human heart, creating a neon love jam for cyborgs with tussled hair and grass-stained knees.

The B, meanwhile, Beat For, is pretty much how a new Burial record should sound. Pay attention, Hyperdubbers.
